Our Volunteers
ACRC is lucky enough to have a number of volunteers that support our services.
All of our Management Committee members volunteer their time to continually support the strong community identity that ACRC have. The committee comprises a number of community members from many different backgrounds and mobs. Their combined experience includes many years of Community Service work, Elders representation, Artistic talents, Healing Therapies and Natural Bush Experience. They are committed to working with the staff to support the Blue Mountains Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community.
Aunty Bev Eaton, is the Chairperson of ACRC and has been a member of the Committee for about sixteen years. A huge support, she comes into the office on Thursday’s and assists in the running of the office by answering the phones and greeting people. She has lived in the Blue Mountains for 32 years where she raised two daughters and a son. She worked with Blue Mountains Family Support Service for ten years working with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients. During that time she became involved with ACRC and the Aboriginal Community, which. I have been a member of the ACRC Management Committee for about sixteen years.
We are currently looking for Volunteers to assist with our Aboriginal Elders Support Services and help out with our Driving. If you are interesting in Volunteering with ACRC please do not hesitate to contact us.
